Signs and Symptoms of eye problems
Sudden onset of spots and floaters in your field of vision.
A sensation that a dark curtain has settled across your field of view.
Sudden eye pain, redness, nausea, vomiting.
Double vision, Double images, or Ghost images.
Sudden blind spot in one eye.
The best way to help protect your eyes as you age is to have a comprehensive eye test at least every two years.

Habits that cause bad vision
Too much smart phone time.
Rubbing your eyes too often.
Not including eye friendly food in your diet, certain foods and vegetables are critical to your eyes. Especially those that contain zinc, Omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins C&E, Yellow and Orange coloured fruits and vegetables, Dark leafy greens, Eggs, Nuts and seafood can all help your eyesight
Not drinking enough water.
Smoking can cause cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration. Smokers are at a higher risk of blindness than are non-smokers.
Not wearing sunglasses.
Not getting enough sleep.

Your child has a squint all the time.
Your child is older than three months and has a squint that comes and goes. In babies younger than this, squints that come and go are common and not usually a cause for concern.
You have a concern about you child’s vision – signs can include regularly turning their head to one side or keeping one eye closed when looking at things.
You develop a squint in later life.
Poor eyesight can cause accidents to you
While working, walking, driving, swimming. (When swimming, ordinary glasses do not work when they get wet. You can get optically correct swimming goggles.)
In doing general living, pastimes, general health, senior years, shopping, using a telephone, housework, etc.
Remember, If you cannot see it, it can harm you or kill you. The only thing we can do for your eye health is hope that if you do have an eye problem, you see an eye specialist.
