Junior First Aid

As a generalisation, most over 10 yrs old children can understand and be taught some First Aid. Basic CPR, action for choking, nose bleeds etc. These courses by are, by their very nature, designed for children. They will be able to accept and use the information being given. All we need is 6/8 children and a place to work. This will give information and hands on experience. There is no formal qualification, a certificate of attendance will be given on completion.

Information and hands on experience is good for making people think about their actions. This can make the person with the information think about themselves, keeping them safer, and also have the ability to help others. Young people can give help and assistance in many ways whether in the home, with friends, on a day out etc. This can be anything from saving a life by taking direct action, to simply making a vital telephone call.
