Construction would come to anyone’s mind when thinking of dangerous jobs. Heights, protective gear, dangerous equipment, and unsafe structures give construction the high rate of 3.1%. This is as well as one the highest rates of workplace deaths. Let’s just say the warning signs and clothing restrictions are there for a reason. 3. SCAFFOLDING & ROOFING The majority of workplace deaths are due to falls, so jobs that involve working at height pose a greater risk. Scaffolding in particular is one of the most dangerous jobs in the country, with falling or injuries sustained during falling accounting for 29% of all workplace deaths. |
