Water is becoming more and more available for leisure activity, socialising, fun activities, fitness training, injury rehabilitation etc.
Heated water either indoor or outdoor is great for learning how to swim, socialise, get fit etc. It should never be taken that we have the same ability when it comes to outdoor water.
Swimming lessons are directed at learning to swim which is a great skill to have, all too often the problems with outdoor water are ignored because we do not want anyone to be put off. In outdoor water sometimes keeping still is more important than moving, this is no longer the fun of a lesson.
A small garden pond can look good and inviting to look at, does it have a small fence where a small child can trip, fall over face first, the legs are kept high by the fence, what can happen?
This course is directed at schools, youth clubs, youth organisations, parent and toddler groups, over 50’s groups etc.
Time to complete: 1.5 hours No pre-requisites required. Course cost (pp): Dependent on group size.
